The main office of the Municipality of Bologna is located in Palazzo d'Accursio, one of the most beautiful buildings in Piazza Maggiore. It was the residence of the Elders, the highest magistracy of the city, and a place dedicated to the government, embellished with rich halls, loggias and finely decorated chapels.
